Lunchbox treats ( even for adults )

This little recipe by Nigella Lawson is so much nicer than it suggests  these little balls of goodness will perk up your morning or get you through the afternoon, calmly knowing they are actually  not going to make you feel guilty.


  • 50g Milk chocolate
  • 150g rice syrup
  • 55g butter
  • 60g Rice Krispies
  • 30g Cornfalkes
  • 40g  quick cook oats
  • 75g sesame seeds


  1. Let the chocolate, syrup and butter gently in a heavy based saucepan  ( I zapped it all in the old microwave for a min )
  2. Add all the other ingredients turning everything to coat
  3. Using your hands ( wearing latex gloves that everyone has now due to Corona Virus !! and do wear then because I didn’t at first and well trust me it just doesnt work without waring them ) shape the mixture to form walnut sized balls
  4. Let them set in the fridge for about an hour and they will keep in a container in the fridge for up to a week .
